Emoji Pencils
These adorable crocheted pencils make excellent gifts for teachers, or to the child who loves to play school, or even as excellent favors for artsy birthday parties, or classmates, keychains, collectibles…or to decorate your own space as a bunting or wall-art. Did you know that January 23 is National Handwriting Day? Why not celebrate by crocheting your very own pencil pals!
Materials Needed:
-hook size of your choice. I used E
-yarn in coordinating weight. I used worsted weight (red heart super saver is great for these!)
-a bit of stuffing
-tapestry needle for sewing in ends, attaching pieces, and adding details.
Crochet Knowledge required: beginner pattern
-chaining
-single crochet stitches
-slip stitching
-increase (working two sc stitches in the same stitch)
-sc2tog - single crochet 2 together (a decreasing stitch)
-color changing
