This asymmetric shawl has garter stitch with simple lace. The pattern is written for aran weight yarn, but you can easily adapt it to any amount of yarn or yarn weight. In this pattern are the endless options: Huge or petite. Bold or pastel.

Yarn
Four balls Rowan Kid Classic (70% Wool, 22% Mohair, 8% Polyamide; 140 m / 153 yards per skein). Shown in colourway Cement (00890). Or approximately 550 m / 601 yards of similar Aran weight yarn.

Needles
Size 5 mm / US 8 circular needle, 100 cm / 40 inch long, 4,5 mm / US 7 for bind off.

Gauge
16 stitches and 26 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in lace stitch, after blocking. Note: obtaining the gauge given is not crucial for a successful project but will affect the finished size and the yardage needed.

Finished measurements
Approximately 185 cm / 73 in (width) x 80 cm / 31.5 in (depth), after blocking.
