A knitting pattern for adult and chick emperor penguins. Both are knit flat using 1 or 2 colours per row.

If using Cascade 220 yarn and 4mm needles they are approximately 14 and 5 cm (5.5 and 2 inches) tall. If you use a different yarn and/or needles the size may differ.

You will need:

• Cascade 220 yarn. To make 2 adults and 1 chick, approximately 20g of Black (8555), 12g of White (8505), 4g of Grey (8509) and 2g of Goldenrod (7827).
• 4mm (US 6) knitting needles.
• Toy stuffing.
• A tapestry needle.
