emPower People Bracelets
emPower people is a purple colored craftivism project aimed at uniting crafters to spark conversation, engagement, and action. Free patterns are available for knit, crochet and sewing bandanas. And crochet some purple bracelets! Who doesn’t love accessories, and better yet, who doesn’t love a way to use up any left over yarn?! This crocheted bracelet pattern is a collaborative effort by my dear friend, Jeneen and I, and we would humbly like to offer it to you.

We call them stackers, because it’s fun to make many and stack them. They are quick and easy, and the best part is that you can make them with a variety of materials, including any remaining yarn from your emPower People bandanas! Make your own mixes of purple beads, or use one color. Go crazy and have fun!

Materials
Approximately two yards of single stranded dk weight yarn, double stranded fingering or double stranded 6-ply embroidery floss. The choice is yours! We would love it if you used purple, at the moment :relaxed:

Size C (2.75mm) crochet hook.

Approximately 40, 6/0 seed beads per bracelet. I prefer TOHO brand rounds, but you may use any 6/0 seed beads. Japanese seed beads are the most consistent in their uniformity and smoothness.

Fray check fabric glue. (Purchase anyplace fabric is sold.) Small, pointy scissors. Floss threader, or any other bead stringing method you prefer, beading surface.

My gauge is 5 stitches (beads) to the inch in this pattern.

I purchase TOHO beads on line from Bobby Bead. They have an extensive offering!
