The Empress Skirt is an advanced-beginner friendly, fully customizable pattern. It is worked in the round, from the top down. Waistband is worked in rows. It uses the mosaic crochet technique and is written with absolute beginners (to the technique) in mind. If you have ever been interested in learning the mosaic technique, but were intimidated by it, this is the pattern for you!

This pattern includes step-by-step instructions on how to create a skirt in ANY size. It also includes a custom sizing guide and a graded standard sizing guide. This skirt can be made in ANY length as well! Choose from a mini, midi, or maxi skirt. Or if you prefer something more customized, work the pattern to your desired length. The possibilities are endless!

Gauge: 16 stitches x 20 rounds for a 4” x 4” gauge swatch
Yarn weight: Any category 4 yarn (aran, worsted, afghan weights)
Yarn type: You may use any yarn type for this project
