The En Pointe Cowl is a lacy cowl featuring a design reminiscent of the point of a ballerina’s Pointe Shoe.

This pattern was designed with mini skeins in mind. The pattern is written for five 20 gram mini skeins. It would be easy to adapted for smaller scraps if you wanted each section a different color. It would also look great in one color for the whole project! Lace instructions are charted and written. Pattern is suitable for an intermediate knitter.

Note on choosing yarn:
Mini skeins (like full size skeins) come in different fiber contents. This pattern was written using 75% superwash merino wool 25% nylon yarn which contains approximately 92 yards. Other fiber contents may contain fewer yards which may lead to not enough yardage. You can still use mini skeins of other yardages, but you may need to remove a repeat in order to have enough yarn.
