Enbata
Enbata is the basque word for sea storm. While I was knitting it one of my students said that it resembled something marine, like seaweeds and bubbles. We thought about a name and after a brief brainstorming Esti came with the name, Enbata. It sounds strong, bold, but the shawl still has a delicate feel about it.
It’s crescent shaped and designed for just one skein of fingering yarn. If you follow the pattern to the letter you’ll get the shawl shown in the photos. You can customize it. Change the yarn weight or use more yarn to do it bigger.
Yarn: 400ms/100gr of any fingering weight yarn. Sample shawl was knitted with the Ardilanak Donegal Handdyed yarn (SW Merino 85% Bamboo nepps 15%).
Needles: 4mm needles. (Interchangeable Hiya Hiya Sharps)
