This design was inspired by a shopping trip when I spotted a pattern which I thought would be great as an original take on a classic striped scarf. You will use an aran/worsted yarn for one stripe and DK and 4ply held together for the contrast stripe. Three different colours and weights of wool combine to create a unique accessory. Using neutral or brighter colours or combining the two no scarf will be the same. The heavier weight is knitted by itself and the two lighter weights together to create a contrasting marled stripe. The pattern incorporates techniques to ensure a neat finish:alternate cable cast on and tubular cast off as well as an I-cord edge.
