This simple blanket is perfect for a quick knit baby gift. The lace panels add interest as well as cellular properties, allowing baby’s skin to breathe. The moss stitch panels add some simple texture.

This blanket is available to knit in 3 yarn weights with separate instructions given for each weight. The blanket measures 84cm by 84cm (34in by 34 in) after blocking.

DK blanket:
Gauge (blocked) 18 sts and 28 rows = 10cm/4in on 3.75mm (US 5) needles

1 set of 3.75mm (US 5) 80cm/32in circular needles or size needed to meet gauge

Darning needle
320g/11oz (650m/710yd) of DK yarn such as 100% Cotton DK by Cygnet Yarns (100% cotton). 200m/218yd per 100g/3.5oz. Sample shows yarn in the Pistachio colorway.

Aran blanket:
Gauge 16 sts and 24 rows = 10cm/4in on 5mm (US 8) needles

Chunky blanket:
Gauge 12 sts and 16 rows = 10cm/4in on 6mm (US 10) needles
