This cardigan is slightly oversized and slouchy, with a wide shawl collar. It looks just as good over jeans as it does over a dress. It’s worked from the top down with raglan shaping, and stitches for the shawl collar are picked up and worked last. The back of the collar is made wider with short rows.

The Enchanted Wood cardigan is meant to be worn open, and to fit with 1-2” (2.5-5 cm) of positive ease across the back. When choosing a size, look at the schematic measurements and choose the size that corresponds closest to your back width measurement.

You’ll need 6 (6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins of Toby Roxane Designs Velvet Aran (100% superwash merino; 181 yds/166 m per 100g).
