Endless Road
Endless Road is a wide crescent-shaped shawl featuring a squishy garter stitch body with bands of stockinette and slipped stitches for colour interest. Knitted from the top down, it uses either two or three colours of fingering weight yarn. Choose your favourite colour combination and cast on!
Yarn Requirements
Dingo Dyeworks Fair Dinkum Fingering Weight Yarn (100% Merino Wool; 437 yards/400 metres per 3.5 oz/100 grams).
Three colour shawl: 300 yards/274 metres in MC, 370 yards/338 metres in CC1 and 80 yards/73 metres in CC2.
Two colour shawl: 380 yards/348 metres in MC, 370 yards/338 metres in CC1.
The three colour sample is shown in MC - Pinky (Light Grey), 1 skein; CC1 - Wallaroo (Dark Grey), 1 skein; and CC2 - Gold Dust (Yellow), 1 skein (or mini-skein).
Needles & Notions
US 4 (3.5 mm) needles; US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, 32 inches (80 cm) or longer, to accommodate the large number of stitches; Removeable stitch marker (optional).
Gauge
16 stitches and 38 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch, using larger needles, after blocking.
Finished Measurements
Top Curved Edge (Wingspan) - 112 inches (284.5 cm); Bottom Curved Edge - 127 inches (323 cm); Depth - 14 inches (35.5 cm). All measurements are after blocking.
