I created this because I couldn’t find a rose pattern that started from the center and worked its way outward. I wanted a rose opening its petals to the sunshine, but didn’t know how big I wanted it to become.

This is unlike other crochet roses which start with a long chain and work back into the middle, only to wind it around and stitch it in the round. In this pattern, you start in the middle and add petals as you go until it reaches the size you prefer.
