Endless Waves
I love the endless waves of the ocean on the shoreline. Contradictory in nature, strong, yet calming, always constant, each wave unique.
Designed for a 6 color gradient, fingering weight yarn, this crescent shaped shawl has a generous wingspan and a lot of versatility.
It is now written for 2 sizes, one using 6 skeins, 100 yds each, and the other for 6 skeins, 200 yds.
The stitch pattern shifts with each color change. The beaded bind off adds interest and weight. The stitch patterns are written and the beads are placed on the stitches with a small crochet hook on the bind off edge.
A complete list of abbreviations and a stitch glossary explaining the techniques used in the project are included.
Skill level: intermediate.

If your gauge is looser than listed, you may run out of yarn.
Even though the pattern was written for a gradient you don’t have to limit yourself, knit it in one color or 3, mix up the colors any way you want. I look forward to seeing other interpretations.
