The yarn I selected for this project has randomly variegated shades of blue, gray and white. It also has a lovely, springy feel to it. The lace pattern I used makes me think of bare tree branches, or migrating geese! The scarf takes a while to knit due to the fingering weight yarn and little needles, but it’s fairly mindless once you get a feel for the pattern. I also added the option of making the scarf convertible. All that this means is that there are buttons on one end, and button holes on the other. You can wear it straight or loop it around anyway you like and button it up. As far as the hat goes, I had leftover yarn…and I like to match because I’m fabulous!
