Alternative yarn: Alize Baby Wool Batik, 40% Wool, 20% Bamboo, 40% Acrylic, 175 m (191 yds) per 50 g skein. You may use any cotton, bamboo, wool, acrylic blend of fibers; any gradient sock yarn or multicolor hand dyed yarns in approx. suggested yardage 350-400 m (383-437 yds) per 100 g (3.5 oz) skein.

Crochet hook: 3.5 mm or size you are comfortable to work with the specific type/weight of yarn.
