Despite the simple appearance of this cowl, this pattern uses some intermediate techniques you should familiarize yourself with before you begin. Some of these include provisional cast-on, grafting/kitchener stitch, and short rows.
Yarn: with two strands held together
-Holst Garn Coast Uld Bomuld (55% wool, 45% cotton, 350m 383 yds per 50 gr skein) Sample uses colour rosewood for size 1, asparagus for size 2 and marlin for size 3.
-Gepard Garn Kid Seta (70% mohaire 30% silk, 210m per 25gr) Sample uses colour 1224 for size 1, 1334 for size 2, and 467 & 1121 for size 3.
Yarn Requirements: (500, 600, 700) m of each yarn.
Notions: 5 stitch markers (1 different for BOR), stitch holders, waste of yarn, tapestry needle.
Needles:
-Size US 5 3,75 mm Or size to obtain gauge One 16’’ 40 cm circular needle (circ), One 32” 80 cm circ, One set double-pointed needles (dpns)
Gauge: knitted flat after blocking
20 stitches and 32 rows = 4” 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, Gauge and needle size are suggestions only. Individual knitting style and yarn characteristics affect the result, so adjust needle size to get preferred results.
