Enez Tascon Cowl is worked seamlessly in one piece in the round from the bottom up. The Lace rib yoke features an airy zigzag pattern that evolves into delicate lace-framed leaves. I like that the whole artistic abstract meaning of the line from the chart cannot be revealed to you until the end of the knit. And when it does it bring out atmosphere in which peace can take place. I tend to like patterns with unusual texture or construction or added elements you can only see from certain sides. A lot of these fit this new capsule collection of a few essential items of clothing that won’t go out of fashion, (sweater, cowl, hat).
For this cowl I used the same chart principle as for the sweater and hat, but instead of repeating the 16 chart sts, side by side as the ray of the sun, I mirror one every second one. It becomes a 32 chart repetition. As it‘s a tube construction, there wasn’t a need for increasing by yarn overs, so I mirrored the chart again, this time top to bottom, the ribbing 1x1 tbl stitches start and end the tube.
