Although it’s simple, it’s rated as Intermediate/Adventurous Beginner due to the English Rib stitch (yarn over, slip 1 stitch purlwise, k1). Novice knitters might find it challenging, but I’ve also designed the Heather cardigan, a similar yet simpler option. Check it out in my patterns.

A charming layer to easily throw over you for a warm edge. The easy fit also make this a perfect fit for all sizes and shapes.

Work the front and back pieces separately with straight needles, bottom-up. The sleeves are worked back and forth with straight needles, top-down.
We’ll sew the pieces together for a seamless finish, no tapestry needle required—just your fingers.
Because of weight of the yarn and knitting style this cardigan stretches well.

This cardigan has approx 20-25 cm (8-10 inches) of positive easy at the bust.
Finished cardigan measurements: approx. 100-110-120-125-130-135-145 cm or 39-43-47-49-51-53-57 inches.
I wear size S (my bust is 90 cm/ 35 inches).

♥ STITCHES - simple Knit and Purl stitches, Yarn over. K2tog (decreases in the sleeves).

♥ YARN - Super chunky yarn is great for beginner knitters. It works up really fast and you can also see what you are doing easily. It is simple to spot and correct any mistakes, and knitting with chunky yarn is generally just a lot of fun.
You can choose the yarn specified in the cardigan pattern or something similar enough. I used Crazy Sexy Wool yarn (color Mellow Mauve) for this project.

“Crazy Sexy Wool” by Wool and the Gang or “The Wool” by We are knitters (100% wool, 200 grams/80 metres).
you will need 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9 skeins for your size.

♥ NEEDLES - Straight needles 15 mm (US 19) and approx 35-40 cm/ 14-16 inches long. It is too difficult to knit English rib stitch on circular needles.
