English Rose
Have you ever wanted to knit a flower bouquet? Why not join my May Flower Bouquet KAL! Week one’s mystery flower is my Pop Into Shape Rose.
- See my doll growing a hat in an animated GIF!
Special Offer: Buy 3 patterns for $4.95! No coupon needed. Thank you.
These English Roses are a quick, easy knit and require next-to-no sewing!
They are knit almost entirely in the round from skirt hem to hat top (middle petals), with arms that are knit in one-piece and slide into position through arm holes, a wooden bead head that stays in place with a pipe cleaner, yarn hair added with a tapestry needle and two hat petal layers that are also knit in the round and slid into place. The rose on the skirt is made using a Woven Wheel Stitch which is a simple but impressive looking stitch.
To make your own English Rose you’ll need:
- One 12mm wooden bead
- One Pipe Cleaner
- Scrap yarn
- One FREE evening!
BIG THANKS to my WONDERFUL test knitters! Your dolls are beautiful and your feedback is much appreciated xox
