This beanie was inspired by our families love of the game naughts and crosses (tic-tac-toe). We play it a lot, at restaurants, in the car waiting for a family member, at the shack, the beach, everywhere :)

The name Enneadi broadly means naughts and crosses in Ancient Greek.

The beanie is a colourwork beanie, worked in 2 colours. Its largest float is 6 stitches.

The rib is a basic 2 x 2 rib, with a little twist.

While the beanie is designed to be a fitted hat, it can easily be made longer by adding extra pattern repeats.

There are 3 sizes available:

Small - to fit 18-20” (45-51cm)
Medium - to fit 21-22” (43-56cm) and
Large - to fit 23-24” (58-61cm)

The finished measurements of the beanie are as follows:

Brim circumference 17 (18, 20)”/42.5, (46, 50) cm, blocked and unstretched. Length from base of brim to top centre of crown 7 (8.5, 9”) 18 (21, 23) cm.

Gauge for the hat is 26 sts x 28 rounds over 4” (10cm) in the colour work stitch after blocking, knitted int he round on US #7/5mm needles.

The yarn required is two colours totalling 50g for the smallest, 60g for the medium size and 70g for the largest size, knitted to pattern.
