Enneagram No. 1 Socks
The Enneagram is a model of nine personality types that looks at the entirety of a human’s existence. Type 1s on the Enneagram are called The Reformer. At their healthiest, ones are purposeful and perfectionistic. They are idealistic and strive to improve everyone. However, they are beyond reproach and judgement. Therefore, this sock pattern features a simplistic motif traveling down the leg of the sock to highlight the self-controlled nature of a Type 1. I also naturally dyed bare yarn using avocado pits for this sock sample to embody the want of a Type 1 to do things for themselves.
If you want to learn more about the Enneagram, I include several resources at the end of the pattern.
I also created a playlist of songs on the last page that helped inspire this pattern. I hope you enjoy knitting to them as much as I did!
Lastly, this pattern also includes a recipe for naturally dyeing yarn using avocado pits if you want to try this technique out for yourself!

Most socks can be knit using just 100g of yarn, however, depending on the size you are making and the length of foot you are accommodating, you may need more than 100g. For example, a tester for the size large made their socks to fit a men’s size 12 and used approximately 120g of yarn).
