The Ennismore Lap Rug is a wonderfully organic design which brings to mind a freshly-ploughed field. The stitch pattern is reversible and easy to work, with a lovely textural feel to the finished item.

The pattern includes instructions for three different sizes – the small size is perfect for car journeys or when sitting in a chair or wheelchair, the medium version is a good size for a TV blanket or afghan, and the large size can be used as a cozy guest room throw.

Pattern Note: This pattern is also included in: A Sampler of Stitches – Reversible Knitting Stitches for Blankets & Throws. For more information about this collection, please click here.

Actual amount used in small size: 695gm/24.5 oz, 1390m/1520 yds.

Note: As this is a large project, please purchase or hold an extra ball of yarn to ensure you have enough to complete your project.

Needles: Size 4.5mm/US #7 circular needles, length 120 (150, 150)cm/48 (60, 60) ins.

Gauge: 17 sts/34 rows:10cm/4 ins in Double Moss Stitch using 4.5mm/US #7 needles.

Note: The blanket is worked in Diagonal Furrows Stitch but this has a similar gauge to Double Moss Stitch, so either can be used to determine the gauge.
