Entanglements
This pattern was created for Tour de Sock 2016 and will be a one of a kind sock for you!
Many of my favorite plants are the hardy, creeping vines that seem to have no real path in mind as they grow. Their random twists and turns fill me with wonder as my eyes travel along their route up a tree trunk or over the fences and walls. Their delicate tendrils belie the strength they use to hold onto whatever surface they steadily climb. It is for this reason, I think, that I seek them out whenever I walk in the woods.
Entanglements is my tribute to the vines that so captivate my imagination. These are toe-up and you can change the sizes by adding more stitches to the sides if you need more than what the pattern calls for. This pattern is written for using the Magic Loop method of knitting socks.
Supplies:
· Fingering weight yarn (100 grams)
· Size 2.25mm (US 1) or size needed for gauge
· 1 die with 7 or more sides (you would ignore numbers over 7) to determine where your “vines” are going, a spinner with at least 7 numbers, random.org, or 7 numbers in a basket to choose from
· A coin, button or any other toss-able item with clearly marked heads & tails
· Stitch markers
· Cable needle
