I use a G hook (and have no idea of the conversion to mm, apologies); Other materials are: Brown, Silver, Light Gray, Gold/Yellow, Red, Black, and Beige yarn, Stuffing, a tapestry needle, scissors, something to mark your rounds (I use a long piece of Green or Orange yarn), felt (I used red and white), and either a black sharpie or else black felt, and sewing things to attach the eyes.
Stitches used (and abbreviations) are Ch (chain), sl st (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), dc (double crochet), and hdc (half double crochet). Mc is Magic Circle, a method of starting rounds other than chaining, joining, and sc’ing into the joined circle. It comes out much more cleanly, I feel, and tighter than a chain-and-join start does.
