Enter Entropy
Enter Entropy is a top-down yoke sweater that emphasizes the beauty of the slowly changing colours of Feederbrook Entropy DK, a 100% Blue Faced Leicester yarn which is locally milled in Baltimore County, Maryland and works beautifully with De Rerum Natura Ulysse.
MC: De Rerum Natura Ulysse (100% Merino; 185 m/202 yds) 5 (5, 6, 6, 6) (7, 7, 8, 8, 9) balls
CC: Feederbrook Farm Entropy DK (100% BFL; 238 m/260 yds) – 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (1, 2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s)
The sweater is meant to be worn with 6-10 inches/15-25 cm of ease, however if you prefer less ease, choose a smaller size.
A section of short rows is worked after the yoke pattern to raise the back using the German short row method.
The number of cast-on stitches is the same for all sizes. If you are worried the neckline might be a bit tight for the largest sizes, you can use the main needle size to work the rib instead of sizing down.
The pattern for the yoke is written out round by round though it is quite repetitive, however the numbers change constantly with increases. Once the number of stitches for your size is reached, the instructions direct you to the short row section.
For the body, you have the choice of knitting stockinette stitch, or adding a k/p pattern.
The sleeves have the same length across all sizes but are easily adjusted from ¾ to full length.
