I wanted a pattern that created a drawstring pouch for Easter eggs that didn’t require glue or seaming. This pattern is worked in one piece from the bottom up in joined rounds without turning.

This version is a little more advanced than my other designs. If you are comfortable with thread crochet and can easily identify your stitches, you’ll be fine.

The egg is inserted after the last row. Using the thread tail, use a yarn needle to weave in and out of each stitch of the last row to draw the stitches tightly closed. If you want to create a hanging loop, just leave a longer tail or add a decorative ribbon. Take care if using blown out eggs!

Make several and put them in a pretty basket. You can also use my designs for Christmas ornaments.
