Looking for a light summer scarf, I thought I would start to play with basic lace to create a nice light airy pattern, that will still help keep out that chill in the office air conditioning or night walks.
Not too complicated, this pattern involves basic stitches with a 24 row repeat. Great if you’re just starting into the lace world, and would like a pretty scarf to show off!
Using sock / fingering yarn - 100gr - or use your mini skeins!
You can also chose a single colour or gradient.
Yarn: Sock or Fingering weight. 100gr, 460 yards. Single skein or 5 mini 20gr skeins 92 yards each. Shown is Apple Martini by Haute Knit Yarn. (Ask for it by name).
Gauge: 30 x 28 = 4 inches.
Knitting needles: 3-3.75mm. I knit continental and used 3mm.
Finished dimensions: 58 x 6 inches Blocked.
Loose long tail cast on (using 2 needles) , loose yarn over bind off.
As always, Enjoy !
THANK YOU!
Renée
