Epiphany No. 1
This shawl may be worked in any weight yarn, & a range of yard ages. The pattern is flexible. The trick is to weigh or assess your yarn and to begin the final lace section when you have about 20% of your skein remaining.
If you would like a larger lace section, simply increase the amount of remaining yarn.
This shawl is worked flat. There is a 6 row repeat for most of the shawl, which incorporates 2 increases at one side. The finished product will be an isosceles triangle.
Be sure to begin your lace panels when there are an even number of stitches; this centers the work relative to the edge.
The last 2 stitches of every row are slipped purl wise, to create a smooth edge.
If you would like a larger shawl, simply keep going, repeating the garter and lace panels until the desired size is reached.
Approximate size: 29” deep x 56” long.
This will vary depending on the weight of yarn used & that’s OK! Test knitters have used either One Lupine Casco, Mongehan, Pemaquid, or Queen City
