Equilateral Equanimity, A Modular Bucket Bag
The long color way of the Gina Chunky yarn accentuates the triangular motifs of this unique bucket bag.
Bag is knitted with two lengths of circular needles and a set of 5 double points in a join-as-you-go modular technique. A sturdy I chord bind off gives substance to the top edge, and I chord purse loops provide a handy way to attach the O rings of the purse straps.
Notions: Stitch markers, large eyed yarn needle, sewing thread and needle.
Additional materials: 2 purse straps with O rings; 8 to 9 inch diameter cylinder such as a flour canister, popcorn tin or small trash bin to serve as a mold for the felted bag;
Optional materials: sheet of plastic mesh, craft felt and glue to stabilize bottom of the bag: crochet hook, suede cord, and a stone pendant or large button for purse closure; alternatively a large snap for closure.
