Description
How many triangles to make a vest? Answer: 116! Knit this mathematical wonder from oddments or with a variegated yarn with a long color gradation. The strips of triangles are folded and mattress- stitched into an ingenious vest.

Allow 7 50 gram skeins of Noro Kureyon for a 40” vest plus 50 grams of a contrasting yarn for the i-cord bands. US #8 needles were used for the pictured vest. But this is one of those projects that is completely dependent on your gauge. Lucy gives various finished vest sizes (e.g., 36” chest, 40” chest, etc., plus armhole depth and vest length) and the corresponding triangle side length. You are instructed to swatch until you get the correct triangle size.

“yarns with long color sections will be the most dramatic, but with adaptation it will work with almost any yarn. It is ideal for hand spun single ply yarn or assorted oddments of similar weight yarns.”
