Erg
There’s nothing quite like snuggling up in a big, cosy scarf on a chilly day. And with this knitting pattern, you can certainly knit that big scarf!
Erg is the latest pattern to join my Dune Collection, and whilst it features the collection’s signature Sand Cables and chevron stitch, this is the first pattern to use aran yarn.
The magic of this pattern lies in its central panel. Soft, meandering cables gracefully increase and decrease in size, creating the feeling of travelling across a dune with its ridges and dips. In fact, the pattern’s name translates as “dune sea” in Arabic.
This easy to follow pattern is both relaxing and engaging making it perfect for knitters of all abilities. It’s a gentle introduction to cable knits for beginners looking for a slight challenge, but also has enough detail to keep seasoned knitters entertained.
And whether you knit Erg for yourself or as a gift, you can be sure that it will become a well used addition to any autumn/winter wardrobe.
Happy knitting!
