Erica Shrug
by Suzanne Veta
I designed this lacy shrug to wear as a bridesmaid at a good friend’s outdoor, springtime wedding. She asked the bridesmaids to wear black dresses, with “something dark red—a shawl or a scarf or pin.” I wanted something lacy to cover the shoulders and upper arms, but didn’t want to deal with trying to keep a shawl in place while carrying flowers, eating, dancing, etc. This shrug is named “Erica” in honor of the bride.
