Evoking the beauty of the place where the lake meets the shore, this fingering weight cowl is knitted in the round from the bottom up, starting with waves of lace, and moving into stockinette and then ending with a seed stitch edge. It can be worn around the neck like a cowl, or pulled down over the shoulders like a capelet. The lace portion of the cowl is provided in both charted and written formats.

Measurements:

  • Gauge: approximately 12.5 stitches and 23.5 rows in 2” of stockinette, blocked.
  • Finished Measurements: Circumference at bottom - 54”, Circumference at top - 38”, Height - 12”
  • Listed gauge and final measurements were taken after blocking, and I’m a bit of an aggressive blocker, so your gauge and/or final measurements may vary from mine if you block less aggressively.

  • US 2 (2.75mm) circular needles (or size required to achieve gauge)

  • Needle for weaving in ends
