Ernie the Deer wears a removable cabled vest and carries removable binoculars and a songbird friend. He is knit using worsted weight yarn (14 wpi) and measures approximately 8.5”/21.5 cm from his feet to the tips of his antlers.

Techniques used in this pattern include knitting in the round, working with multiple colors, increasing and decreasing, ribbing, cable knitting, wrap-and-turn short rows, and making buttonholes.
