Erwin is knitted top down seamlessly with set-in sleeves. The texture that covers the upper body is done with only knits and purls. You start by casting on stitches for the back and making some short rows to form the shoulders slope, then you knit flat to the bottom of the armholes. You continue by picking up stitches on the cast on row to knit the fronts. After the neckline is closed, you knit flat to the bottom of the armholes then you join front and back to knit the body in the round. Then you pick up stitches along the armoles to knit the sleeves. First, the sleeve cap is formed with short rows then you knit the sleeve in the round to the wrist. Finally, you pick up stitches along the neckline to knit the collar.

Erwin est un pull avec des manches montées qui se tricote du haut vers le bas sans coutures. Le haut du corps présente un motif texturé réalisé à l’aide de mailles endroit et envers. On commence par monter les mailles pour le dos et, après avoir réalisé quelques rangs raccourcis pour mettre en forme la pente des épaules, on tricote à plat jusqu’au bas des emmanchures. Ensuite, on relève des mailles sur le rang de montage pour tricoter les devants. Après avoir fermé le col, on tricote à plat jusqu’au bas des emmanchures puis on rejoint le devant et le dos pour tricoter le corps en rond. On continue en relevant des mailles le long des emmanchures pour tricoter les manches. La tête de manche est d’abord mise en forme avec des rangs raccourcis puis on tricote en rond jusqu’au poignet. Enfin, on relève des mailles le long de l’encolure pour tricoter le col.
