It was getting close to February 2020. I had yet to make anything for my great niece “E.”

As luck would have it, I had these two yarns that went well together. (I used almost all of the Mandala Yarn and maybe 1/2 of the Vanna’s Choice for the hearts.) Plus, she likes pink, her winter coat is blue with a Unicorn Hood so I figured this color combination would work PERFECT ! ! !

Found some graph paper, that had been lost for 4 years and I just discovered it, and drew the pattern I wanted out. I liked the open look of the hearts.

I thought I wanted three or more spaces between the hearts. The chart for this pattern was made but I wanted to get more hearts on the hat do I re did the graph with one space in between hearts. I have included both charts in the pattern for your pleasure of choosing the one you want to use.

The pattern includes a chart for hat sizes. As long as you have a measuring tape this size chart works great if you don’t have the “head that will wear the hat” available.

I am pleased with the resulting hat. Hope “E” likes it enough to wear.
