Esen is a squishy, bulky, fast and easy hat, worked from the bottom up in the round, using garter and textured rib stitch.

The brim is worked flat, several stitches are bound-off to create the overlapping buttoned flap and then the rest of the hat is worked in the round.

The textured rib stitch uses simple slip stitches and is suitable for beginners.

This hat has a cute matching cowl partner.
