Eskdale is a comfy oversized drop shoulder sweater. It is worked seamlessly from the top down and features chunky cables, a broken rib texture pattern and a split hem. Both charted and written directions are provided for the cable pattern.

Construction:
Stitches are cast on for the back, the shoulders are shaped using short rows and the piece is worked down to the underarm. Stitches are picked up for the front pieces, the shoulders and neckline are shaped and then the front pieces are joined and worked down to the underarm. The front and back pieces are joined and the body is worked down in the round to the hem where it is split into front and back pieces which are worked separately. Stitches are picked up from the armholes and the sleeves are worked down in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up to work the neck band.
