Summer is here! A time when knitters put away the wool and cables, and pull out the lace and lighter yarns. This pattern combines the use of a beautiful, smooth cotton yarn that glides through your fingers and an easy to remember all-over lace pattern. Its wide range of sizes and its flowing design makes this a sexy top for any Fabulous woman. The perfect matching ribbon is chosen to accentuate the shoulder; round cord elastic is threaded through the cute picot top edging to help keep the top up. A dainty, thin ribbon cinches the cami just under the bust and is tied coquettishly at the side.
Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X) to fit bust size 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46, 48-50).
Yarn: Schaefer Yarn Company Susan, 100% mercerized pima cotton (470 yds & 170g per skein), 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins OR 400 (470, 550, 650, 700, 850) total yards
Gauge: 6 sts and 7 rows = 1” in stockinette stitch on size US 5 needles
Needles: US 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 24” circular needles (US 9 are only used to bind off)
Notions: yarn needle, stitch marker, 1 yd of 1” or wider ribbon for straps (optional), 2 yds of ¼” wide ribbon for cinch, 2 yds round cord elastic.
Note: If your bust size falls in an odd number between given sizes, make the next size down. For example, if your bust size is a 35, you should make a S. Remember, lace is quite stretchy. Model’s bust size is 45” and she is wearing a size XL.
