This pattern was designed for my best friends daughter who wanted a scarf, alas neither mother nor child could find a scarf pattern to suit their needs, so I sat down and had a rummage through my stash of patterns and came up empty handed, so I got out my notebook and started listing their preferences, the yarn they had and so on, that list became a sketch, that sketch became a pattern.

This is that pattern! The basic pattern for this scarf is 24 row long repeated until the deired length is obtained. the width varies for adult and child, but the pattern remains the same.

My friend has begun working on this pattern in the recommended yarn, but she has not reached the desired length yet and so no photograph is availible of that yet, however, I hope this solid colour tet knit will serve as a good indication of the intended design.

All stitches are clearly explained so if you haven’t done them before, it’s not an issue.

Guage is not important, knitted loosely will produce a child friendly lace effect, while knitted to tension will produce a more solid, warmer product.
