Crochet your own Essie the Seahorse with this pattern. Essie will make a great addition to any young marine lovers nursery or collection.
The little seahorse has captured the hearts of many throughout history. The legend of Poseidon, god of the sea, describes his great chariot being pulled by a pair of majestic sea horses. They are also a symbol of love and caring as they bond solely to their chosen mate for life.
Completed Size: Apprx. 11” H (28 cm)
Requires knowledge of the following crochet stitches and some basic sewing skills.
- CH – Chain
- DEC – Decrease - instruction included in pattern
- Bobble Stitch - instruction included in pattern
- SC –Single crochet
- Slip stitch
Materials Needed:
Medium weight cotton or acrylic yarn (approx. 2 oz.)
2 each 18mm Safety Eyes
F/5 - 3.75mm crochet hook
Yarn Needle
Fiberfill stuffing
