Esther Belle Shawl
The Esther Belle Shawl is named after my Great-Grandmother, a sassy, practical and compassionate woman who was always stylish. The circular motif employs pi shawl shaping then branches out on either side as wings that stay easily on your shoulders. Choose a monochromatic look, or opt for a coordinating edge color. Esther Belle is knit in four sections and the yarn is broken only once. Techniques to keep your interest include incorporated icord, both circular and flat knitting, a feather and fan edging, the pinhole cast-on and the Russian bind-off.
