Estonian Garden Shawl
by Linda Choo
This shawl is worked in an entrelac construction using 3 different colours of yarn. Alternately, a single colour can be used.
A total of 115g or920m was used for the sample (55g/440m of the darkest, 35g/280m for the medium and 25g/200m for the lightest colour).
The shawl is worked from the bottom square, in tiers. A simple knit-on edging is used to complete the bottom edge of the shawl.
Beads may be substituted for nupps.
The sample was done in hand-carded and handspun laceweight yarn. Any commercial laceweight yarn may be substituted.
Fingering weight yarn can also be used, but additional yardage would be required.
as part of a collection
