Ethel se tricote en top-down, en biais. On commence par monter les mailles du col. On augmente en 4 points tout le long de l’empiècement avant de séparer corps et manches.
On commence par tricoter le corps en rond, puis on travaille les côtés du t-shirt, l’un après l’autre, avec des rangs raccourcis avant de tricoter les côtes. On procède de la même manière pour les manches.

Échantillon en biais : 24 mailles et 24 tours pour 10 cm avec le motif et les aiguilles de 4,5 mm.

Ethel is worked top-down, following a diagonal. You start with the neckline cast-on. Then you work some increases at each quarter of the yoke (at middle body and middle sleeve points) before dividing body from sleeves.
Body is later worked in the round, then each half is shaped with short-rows, one after the other, before working the bottom ribbing. Sleeves are worked alike.
