The étranger sweater is worked from the bottom to the underarms in the round, at the same time, knitting the Chevron stitch on the front and back. Then each front and back are worked separate, working flat in rows. After joining the front and back for shoulders, the neck and sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. Cuffs are designed to fold back. Recommended to be worn with 20−50 cm / 8−20” positive ease.

Yarn
5 (5) balls of De Rerum Natura Gilliatt (270 yards / 250 m per 100 g).
Approx 1090 (1225) m worsted weight yarn.
The samples were knit in color ‘Goeland’ (light grey) in size 1, and ‘Poivre Blanc’ (natural) in size 2.
This pattern is written for cropped length.
When knitting longer than specified, add one more ball of yarn.

Needles
US 8 (5 mm) circular needles, 40” (100 cm) long for the body. US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles, 24” (60 cm) long for the neckline. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

17 stitches & 24 rows in 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch on larger needle, after blocking.

胸と背中のシェブロンステッチを編みながら前後に分けて往復編み、
肩はThree-Needle-Bind-Offで繋げて 襟ぐりはi-cordを使用します.
袖ぐりのガーターから目を拾い袖口に向かって輪で編み進め 折り返しのカフスで仕上げます.
身頃・袖ともに短めの丈ですが お好みでいずれも伸ばして頂けます.

De Rerum Natura Gilliatt (270 yards / 250 m per 100 g)を5 (5) 玉使用. 約 1090 (1225) m. もしくは、Worstedくらいの太さのゲージがとれる糸.
