Eucalyptus
“Eucalyptus”
This is my first design using the Tencel fibre which is blended in the yarn I have used with Blue Faced Leicester by Woolly Chic and is called Heartspun DK
It’s a natural fibre from the pulp of the Eucalyptus tree hence I have given the shawl this name.
The Tencel in the yarn creates a shine to the finished fabric and it won’t be my last design using it.
Its created holding two strands of DK weight yarn together and with the shaping I have given it, allows you to make a perfect sized neck and shoulder shawl. The stitches create an interesting texture to the piece that’s thick and warm.
You could also create the shawl using chunky yarn of the same required length and suitable for 8mm needles if you prefer.
The stitch work is an easy repeat and allows this to be made from a beginner upwards.
