This pattern is a triangular scarf that begins with the smallest corner and finishes at the widest edge. It measures 80cm x 150cm x 150cm or 31.5” x 59” x 59” on each edge.

There are a variety of techniques involved in this pattern, including twisted rib, leaf lace, and nupps.

This scarf looks best in a tonal or variegated yarn.

Currently, Australia is on fire.

This beautiful country has many eucalyptus trees, which are gorgeous and varied and a fuel for bushfires. In our dry and hot summers, the leaf and bark litter is tinder for fires. The distinctive oil ignites as fuel, and the 30-60m high trees carry the fire in the crowns which travels at high speeds as the dry winds sweep through the area.

Houses have been destroyed, towns have been ravaged and people’s lives will be forever changed.

50% of the proceeds from this will be donated to the Bendigo Bank Bushfire Disaster Appeal, as 100% of the donations will go directly to those affected in the fires. Alternatively, if you have donated to any charity supporting those affected by the Australian bushfires, I will gift this pattern to you for free.

All of my designs inspired by Australia will donate 20% to the Smith Family charity, providing support for children accessing education in Australia.

Thank you for your support.
