This eukaryotic cell pillow is sure to be a conversation piece! The body of the pillow is made from two strands of worsted weight yarn held together, but you could use bulky yarn instead. The rest of the pieces are made using just one strand or worsted weight yarn. I used I Love This Cotton! Yarn for my pillow, but you could easily substitute another yarn, since gauge isn’t crucial. I used less than 1 skein of yarn for each color. If you’re interested in exactly which colors I used, feel free to contact me.
The body of the pillow is made using a size J (6.0mm) crochet hook and the organelles are made using a size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook, with one small element made using a size E (3.5 mm) crochet hook.
You will also need fiberfill stuffing and a tapestry needle for sewing. I would recommend using a stitch marker, since most of the pieces are worked in the round without joining, so it will be helpful for keeping track of which row you’re on.
