You know that moment when everything just falls into place?
That’s what happened with this shawl. A simple shawl edged with triangles had been on my mind forever, being impossible to capture exactly - but playing around with constructions, all of a sudden it fell into place. And it turned out to be soooo simple!
Eureka is worked flat from the bottom up, starting the tip with a few stitches and increasing upwards, making your rows longer as you add a new triangle on each side. Two different sizes are described here – one using 2 skeins of DK weight yarn, and a slightly bigger version using 3 skeins. In reality, you can make the shawl as big or small as you like, stopping at any point.
Play around with colored stripes, or keep it a plain and simple, soothing knit in one color or in a luxuriously hand dyed, slightly variegated yarn, like I did. It’s all up to you!

Yarn: Clara Yarn Shetland 1.0 (100% Shetland Wool), sport/DK weight, 274 meters / 300 yards per 92g. 2 (3) skeins. Colorway: “Tangled Up In Blue”

Needles: 4,5 mm / US 7 circulars, at least 80 cm / 32 inches in order to accommodate a large number of sts.

Gauge: Not crucial (but gauge might affect required yardage and final size). Sample uses gauge of 20 sts & 40 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch.

Size: Medium (Large)
Width (wingspan) from tip to tip: 179 (225) cm / 70.5 (88.5) inches.
Depth at deepest point: 65 (81) cm / 25.5 (32) inches.
