Eurybia is a sock pattern named after Eurybia, a Greek Titan goddess of the mastery of the sea who could control the constellations, the winds and the seasons, for example helping sailors by changing the way constellations rose on the horizon, or hindering them by sending strong winds to pummel ships.

On the top of the foot, a large pattern reminiscent of the way water comes in before retreating is made with eyelets, decreases and twisted ribbing. After the heel is worked, a new pattern is added to the back of the leg, with small eyelets and a forked pattern inspired by the movement of rivers and the trident wielded by Poseidon, Greek god of the sea, storms and horses.

The pattern is explained in 7 sizes.
For each size, there are charts and written instructions. They are placed on different pages so you can print only what you need for your size.

Eurybia est un patron de chaussettes nommé en l’honneur de la Titanide de la maîtrise des océans, qui pouvait contrôler les constellations, les vents et les saisons pour aider les marins en changeant la façon dont les constellations apparaissaient à l’horizon, ou leur nuire en envoyant des vents forts marteler leurs embarcations.

Le dessus du pied inclut un large motif représentant l’ondulation de l’eau, créé avec des jetés, des diminutions et des côtes torses. Après le talon, un autre motif est tricoté à l’arrière de la jambe, avec des jetés et un motif de trident, inspiré par le mouvement des rivières et Poséidon, dieu grec des océans, des tempêtes et des chevaux.

Le patron est expliqué en 7 tailles. Pour chaque taille, il y a des diagrammes et des explications écrites. Ils sont placés sur des pages différentes pour vous permettre d’imprimer seulement le nécessaire pour la taille que vous tricotez.
